Why are companies still using door 2 door salespeople

In one of my emails about job vacancies is door 2 door selling. I have never bought anything from the door, more and more people are not either. Plus the abuse, waste of time selling - conservatories in a road of flats. Then there’s the reputation of rouge traders - pay over the odds for a crap product or service

If I want to buy something like double glazing, a new driveway etc, I contact companies myself, not to wait for someone to ring on my doorbell.

I had Anglian Windows knocking this week. I live in a conservation area, there wasn't anything for them here.

We sometimes get Hello fresh out, surely nobody is signing up via door to door people

I signed up for my electricity through a d2d sales person. He had the cheapest deals by far.

YANBU

I hate door to door sales people knocking.

I've never bought or signed up to anything on the doorstep and never will.

There’s a new internet provider near me, brsk, and they are really aggressive at the door step, they’ve called a couple of times. I told the first one this and he was soon on his way

i was very sharp (on a works call) for a 2nd caller telling him no I hadn’t got time then I felt bad for him even though it was him hammering on my door during an important meeting

best was when it was apparently international deaf awareness day 3 times in 3 months

Why have there been so many threads about door-to-door salespeople on the past few days? Weird
