Sodding flies everywhere!

Another reason to hate this blistering heat, aside from the sweat, lack of sleep and blazing hot commute: flies everywhere. We seem to have them constantly in the house, despite no food left out - vile. Roll on Wednesday when it’s 10 degrees cooler!

@Doppe Commiserations on the horsefly bites - I take Piriton for mine and last week had to have antibiotics for some. I got some good stuff from the chemist to relieve the itching (can't remember the name and it's upstairs!). Lanacane? I once had to have some steroid cream when I got 13 bites on my bum!

Loads here too- - mainly the tiny brown flies which get absolutely everywhere and drive me insane. They come in through the windows. I've wiped the windows and removed pet food and kept the kitchen religiously clean- but they still come in. I've put sticky fly paper by the windows which catches a lot, plus a trap of cider vinegar + fairy liquid. It's hard not being able to relax in my own bloody home but numbers have definitely reduced compared to how they were before the cleaning.
