Just that.

I’ve just had my coil removed after 7 years and experiencing my first period in that time. I’m on an away day with work, so have obviously bled through my clothes. I was always a heavy and unpredictable bleeder before I had the coil so I was prepared with pads but still managed to go through.

I'm on a coffee break at the moment which has mostly consisted of taking up residency in the loos to try to clean myself up. Not sure if it’s cos it’s the first one, but it is so bad, fortunately I have not been crippled with pain, but genuinely looks like somebody was murdered.

I’ve got a 90 min drive home at the end of it, I will be skipping out my the networking 😂

So please commiserate with me and tell me I’m not the only person this happens to!

It’s awful. And we aren’t informed about what to expect. Can you get tranexamic acid? It helps most people significantly. Also ibuprofen reduces the flow.

I bled heavily for days after mine, unexpectedly.
And only learned recently that the fibroids I knew I had will have been the reason everything was so difficult.

‘you’ve got a big fibroid, by the way’, was all anyone said- just in passing, in a scan.

I spent maybe 20 years sitting on cardigans, layered up with pads and tampons/mooncup. Staying home.

And YY to the crime scene stuff. Those biology lessons that mentioned ‘a few teaspoons, though it may look like more it isn’t.’

Pah.
