Are you me?🤔😹
I have so many finished ready for framing, but it's so damn expensive and I don't have that many walls glances up at ceiling, hmm, it's a thought 🤦🏻‍♀️

Lilym4y · 22/11/2025 21:38

I’ve bought a billy bookcase from ikea and it fits perfectly in a tiny alcove at the top of our stairs, it’s got glass doors so hopefully the Lego won’t get too dusty.

Has anyone got any LEGO sets on their Christmas wishlists? 🎄

Lilym4y · 22/11/2025 21:46

@Pumpkittenspice I’m hoping for the botanical garden or the boutique hotel or the jazz club.

Nocookiesforme · 23/11/2025 10:02

I am desperate for the new Star Trek Enterprise D set. I've measured and it will fit in my display cabinet. I've told the family that I'm happy to have just one gift this Christmas if they'll all chip in for it 🙂
DH is a bit iffy over just one big gift but I keep saying "Make it so No.1"

LegoTherapy · 23/11/2025 10:06

I was lying awake at 6am wondering where to display the new Lego. And existing Lego we haven’t built yet. And the Lego on its way.

BookShark · 23/11/2025 23:15

Has anyone tried Brick Borrow? On paper it sounds great - built ALL the Lego and then don't have to worry about storage, but some of the reviews have put me off, saying there's no availability for the bigger sets. Any experience?

hattie43 · 24/11/2025 06:49

I’ve just ordered the Himeji Castle and Lego notepad to get the HC GWP. Very excited as I went to see the real Castle in Oct .

We both need bigger houses!
and I need more walls for my cross stitch

Lilym4y · 24/11/2025 17:43

I ordered the motorised lighthouse for my OH for Christmas on Saturday, and it arrived today with the two GWP. Very impressed, but sadly Toothless dragon is on back order, I’m hoping it comes before Christmas as it’s a present for my grandson, it was stating dispatched by 16 Dec on Saturday but now says the 29th ☹️

JoshLymanSwagger · 24/11/2025 17:55

@Lilym4y My Boutique Hotel (ordered Sat) arrived today yay it's delivery date was 31 Dec. 🤔 Dunno what was happening there.
I'm just waiting for my Gingerbread house - backordered a couple of wks ago.
Good luck, it hopefully will be quicker than you think. 🤞

Please don't let me buy anymore for a while

Lilym4y · 24/11/2025 18:01

@JoshLymanSwagger That gives me a bit of hope then. Just rebuilding the Hocus Pocus house (again) The waterwheel keeps falling off and the chimney smoke fixing is impossible to get at without dismantling 🤬🤬🤬

LegoTherapy · 24/11/2025 18:59

My two orders are arriving tomorrow 😃 can’t wait to build the orient express. The Christmas tree I’m
going to tweak because it annoys me that the baubles are only on the bottom half. What kind of freaky design is that? I think it’s slightly odd in general with being so wide big I love the inside of it. I already have the gingerbread house tucked away. I need to check
through the presents in general and eyeball what I have. I’m wondering if anyone will buy me anything this year now they are older. DDs will be 17 and 18 at Christmas so I hope they will. Ds st 10 is much better but he’ll need to go with the 17 year old to the shops. I’ve said I’d like a toblerone of my allergy tests show I’m not allergic to nuts, and a Lego dusting kit. I buy my own presents generally which is a bit miserable sometimes. I always act surprised though and pretend I didn’t know 😂

LegoTherapy · 26/11/2025 07:04

The Christmas tree arrived yesterday along with the with the hot chocolate stand and mini castle GWPs. Then a second box with the Orient Express and hot chocolate stand and castles. I’m feeling very happy 🎄I’m going to build one of the hot chocolate stands with my mum and keep that her house on the fireplace when I take down the autumn decorations. It will go nicely with the festive bakery GWP from last year.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 26/11/2025 07:53

That sounds lovely @LegoTherapy !

Has anyone bought the Bricklink sets? I see them sometimes on the Lego FB groups I'm on, and I'm tempted to try. Birthday next week so...

JaceLancs · 01/12/2025 23:16

We put extra baubles on the Xmas tree
Yesterday I moved all the usual Lego sets to a cupboard and have spent a happy evening getting out al the Christmas sets
They will have to be moved round again as we are in process of building home alone house
Sets in queue include Xmas candle, wreath, large Santa mini figure and sleigh set
Not sure we will get all finished before the day!

Bit underwhelmed by both the set and the GWP but who am I kidding, will still buy it.

LegoTherapy · 04/12/2025 17:14

Underwhelmed here too. There’s plenty of other sets I’d prefer. The tulips, Japanese scene, the daisies, the Ninjago podium set.

hattie43 · 04/12/2025 17:28

People who collect the Modular’s will buy it so their collection is complete , I’m very underwhelmed by it and there are far nicer sets I’ll buy before this

JoshLymanSwagger · 04/12/2025 18:31

I only have a few Modulars, and I don't really like this one.
Space is a premium, so I'll save it for something nicer.

Pumpkittenspice · 04/12/2025 19:14

I actually really like this year’s modular. I’m saving up for the Natural History Museum instead though, as that’s my most coveted set. 😊

TheWayTheLightFalls · 04/12/2025 19:55

Someone online was saying it looks better in a terrace with the other modulars, so maybe Tudor Corner on one side and the Jazz club or whatever on the other. Will report back.

I never thought I'd be wishing for a post office or hospital!

LegoTherapy · 11/12/2025 21:34

I was lucky enough to get the gazebo and gingerbread train today. It’s double insiders points at the moment too. Ds has mentioned so many Lego sets that he’d like and there’s lots of really cool Ninjago ones out next month that he’d like too. He’s going to save up for those. The Old City looks amazing. I’m a big fan of the big city Ninjago sets. They can be fiddly in places with unusual building techniques but they have so much going on. It’s the 15 year anniversary of ninjago with new mini figures and whatnot.
Is anyone getting Lego for Christmas?

JaceLancs · 12/12/2025 09:00

I’m hoping for some Lego but have bought lots for others
DP is getting the insect set, dragon, and 2 postcards
DS is getting the macaw wall art, a long retired employee gift set of 6 animals
DD is getting one of the botanicals (not saying which one as she is on here!)
Everyone is getting a small Xmas Lego set too
