The review of the aquarium says the fish aren’t based on any particular type of fish but that the corals are cool. No way I’d be paying that although it does look fun and very colourful.
I’m debating ordering the Christmas tree.

I’ve ordered Ds something he wants for Christmas and some storage boxes. I’ve gone for a small pumpkin and skeleton because they look great at Halloween wit crisps in. I’ve ordered a transparent box for my loose pieces. They are glittery and looked so nice when you saw them at Legoland.
I’m eagerly awaiting an announcement on the new modular. The boutique hotel is retiring soon but I’m not bothered about that one. I love Arkham Asylum, Morticia’s Cottage, Orient express and the Christmas tree.

re: the aquarium, I'd expect it to be in a water tight tank so I could put actual fish in there for £400!

Anyone got any ideas what the follow on from Tudor Corner will be in the modulars?

I did see a pic of "ye olde londone towne" there might be too many eees in that but I can't remember where from.

So far, the Botanical Gardens, Tudor Corner and the White House (although a pre-Trumpian version with, ya'know, a Rose Garden) are my favourite builds.

I like the Christmas tree and the Orient Express, but I don't love them IYSWIM and the Home Alone would be fab, but I've never seen the film.

For you minifigure lovers. I love the cat one. And most of them actually. I’ve recently started to like the minifigures and Manchester actually had all the right pieces for the Halloween ones and two of the snow themed ones.
Is anybody getting the Goonies set? I love the film but can’t say I love the set. If the ship was separate to the scenes of the film I would. It’s a clever design but not for me so my bank balance is breathing a sigh of relief.

I'm waiting to see what the November insiders weekend GWP is to get the Christmas Tree. A Facebook blog recommended waiting. I really want the Orient Express still. What’s on everyone’s most wanted list?

I can't wait for the new minifig set! I ended up buying all the Spidey ones but they aren't really my bag.

Waiting for the next modular, not sure when that will be. I remember last year that it was inconveniently after my birthday - January time?

The Modular will be released on January first. Jays Brick Blog has announced new Minecraft and Marvel sets being released on January’s first so it shouldn’t be long now before it’s announced.

Lovely! I was reading some of the rumours - I think the loudest voices are saying Post office but tbh I love them all (so far, anyway!).

I've seen something about a furniture/music store - around 3500pcs.

Does anyone have the big Harry Potter Hogwarts castle? I want it so badly but it's £300+ and want to be sure it's worth it.

@MissIonX No, but I have done Notre Dame and I regret buying it and the expensive display case. It was very "same-y" iyswim, a bit like the Empire State Bldg.🤷‍♀️

I'm not sure about the Family Christmas Tree - it only gets 3.4 stars from 5. Not sure it's that good for the high price.🤔

Look at jays brick blog reviews for info on how good sets are. None of the HP ones appeal at all but I love HP books. Star Wars and buildings that are all the same colour hold no appeal at all.

Yep! So big it has to live on top of a wardrobe - definitely needs a lot of space. I agree that it gets a bit samey after a while as it's all the same colour, but there are quite a few nice little details as well e.g. a mini Whomping Willow with a car in it. And it did take quite a while to build, so I feel I did her my money's worth, albeit I bought it when it was reduced at John Lewis a while back. But I can't imagine it being at minifig scale - it would be ginormous!

Overall I prefer the modular buildings (we've got loads of them so makes a nice display) but this one definitely has more impact as a standalone piece.

We’ve got the golden Father Christmas. Mrs Claus. Some festive surf boards. Unless they are pointy snowboards. Snowboards. A boy and girl in matching outfits. Candy canes. Hot chocolate cups. A gift. People in
space PJs. And some elves. Most fun I’ve had in ages!
I’ve fallen in love with The Goonies set. I didn’t like it when I saw it online but it looks amazing on display in the shop. Seriously cool.
