Post office fiasco

Hi does anyone know if it’s possible once have dropped a parcel off at post office to send via tracked 48 to retrieve parcel if for example have left paperwork out of it? The tracking number says “the sender has advised they have despatched the item” and “we are expecting it” on Royal Mail tracking. Thanks

No they won't let you have it back once it is in the post office bag x

I've done a similar thing and although I went back literally the same day before I would have been collected and I know the post office lady well, she said it's the PO policy as it's covered under their insurance once in their possession but giving it back voids this or something along those lines.

Bummer!
