I love June too op. Love the long days. Love the sun although I must admit it’s been too hot even for me the last few days!

I love June too op. Love the long days. Love the sun although I must admit it’s been too hot even for me the last few days!

If it's too hot, I just stay in the shade or indoors.
I still.love June though whatever the weather. The fact it's light for so long helps too.
It goes to quick.

Agree with you about the light evenings.

Why I would like to end the practice of putting clocks back in winter, would prefer BST year round.

I'd love to swap the August school holidays to June. YANBU.

May, June and September are my most favourite months. My mum's birthday is also in June.

Quite sad it's the longest day today though as I despise the darker nights (I know they won't be here for a while though).

Can't say I'm enjoying this humid heatwave though, I prefer a more mellow June but hey ho, can't have it all.

I love June too. My birthday month! The weather is usually nice, long evenings, all that good stuff!

Giggorata · 21/06/2025 13:03

Me too! June is preferable to Christmas.
I love all the heat and warm rain, when it comes.
I love the Summer Solstice and summer camps and festivals.
I love the swifts shrieking around the house and the light evenings.
I love all the flowers and herbs growing well, and loads of tomatoes and lettuce and rocket.
I love sitting outside late until dark, listening to birdsong and waiting for the first stars.
I love being able to cool off in the shady north facing room, or under trees.
I love wearing cool clothing and bare feet or sandals.

Having said that, I always make the best of colder weather and hibernate cosily indoors during the dark half of the year, with glowing fires and candles, and I never sit directly in the sun as I am a pale Celt - but yes, summer goes by too quickly.
