  1. A parent posted on a public forum on Facebook that their kid had had their eye lashes cut off with scissors by a teacher. after wearing false lashes at school. Then she updated to say to that the school had seen her post / been told about her post and the comments she made about going up to the school and assaulting the teacher and now she was banned from the school so wanted advice on how to handle it. (It was a group about living in a certain area and not private, I don’t even live too close by and it still came up on my feed. The live updates about the school saying they’ll call the police if she comes up to the school are insane.
  2. froth post about ‘gypsies (sorry) in the library car park and so many posts and comments about how disgusted they were. It was mobile mammogram unit. That one made my day.
  3. a local woman who went to turkey to get new teeth smashed up a hotel room and tried to flee the country, was stopped and charged with criminal damage. She can’t leave turkey until she pays £15k to repair the damage and wants go fund me to pay for it. It came out tonight that her family have raised the 15k but she doesn’t think she needs to pay it and offered 3k. The go fund me changed amount to 2.5 and they said that they only set it up so that the consulate will help? It’s all so confusing!

I don’t live in a horrible place believe it or not 🤣 I keep wanting to get rid of Facebook but it’s stuff like this that keeps me having it 🤣

Oh just thought of another one. We’ve got a bloke who used to live in the area but now lives in South Africa and just spams the group with photos of elephants 🤣

Oh God I actually know the person in story 3 😭😂

NamedChand · 20/06/2025 08:31

Ha! No way! None of it makes any sense at all. I keep reading it and it just confuses me again and again!

"Anonymous poster" on our local page asking about the local school's SEN provision. Cue a hundred aggressive posts saying how the school are awful, do nothing, no support... The problem is, I worked with the school and I know full-well that those parents and those children aren't children with SEN (or with SEN that isn't relevant to the problem), they're children with absolutely fucking awful behaviour who don't like that the school don't pander to it.

Like, I'm sorry, your child might have an ADHD diagnosis but if he punches another student, he's still going to get disciplined - even after you and he have your massive tantrum.

Honestly, the emails I get are absurd - parents who point-blank refuse to parent and then act like it's all the schools fault for not being supportive enough. It's about 1/10 parents now who just don't seem to get it ("he doesn't like detentions" - yes, that's the point, "detentions don't bother him" - ok, so what are you doing at home to reinforce the message that hitting other people is wrong?).

Honestly, this post is now a behemoth of frothing lazy parents and a few comments asking the OP to message privately about what it's actually like for children with actual SEN provision... and then a flurry of parents sending the post into the school so we know about it...

TutTutTutSigh · 20/06/2025 08:34

Yes miss Turkey Teeth is all over my feed 🤦‍♀️ I'm dying to know where the boyfriend is in all this?? No mention of him after he got his new gnashers.. maybe love island?

TheNightingalesStarling · 20/06/2025 08:36

Something about a squirrel stuck in a crisp packet at a tube station.

RonniePickering · 20/06/2025 08:37

Same! She’s sharing WhatsApp screenshots of her conversations with the translator on her Facebook and accusing them of being in on the scam to have a share of the £15,000 she has to pay.
Plus apparently the family raised the money but she’s had to use half of it for hotel stays because she can’t leave?!

The boyfriend is over there with her but apparently his family and friends aren’t contributing to help him (probably because it was her who smashed the room up, but neither can leave until the £15,000 is paid).

Oh absolutely! It’s like the 1st one on my list. The comments are just full of parents spouting what is clearly nonsense about being sent home with no trousers on in yr 9 and how they are going to ‘scalp the teacher’ I honestly feel so sorry for teachers if that is a regular type of thing to happen. (Posting crap on a public group in great details about wanting to assault teachers) I’m sure some teachers are shocking but to suggest a teacher took a pair of scissors to a child’s eye lashes is beyond obscene

The boyfriend is still in Turkey with her?? Why can’t he stump up 1/2? None of it makes any sense. Things like the go fund me is written from the perspective of the sister but it says at the bottom the person who set up the go fund me is her!

OP posts:
RonniePickering · 20/06/2025 08:42

Yes I noticed that about the Go fund Me, being in her name yet asking for help for her sister 🤔
Yes he’s still over there with her, her sister said his family aren’t in a position to contribute.

I feel sorry for the squirrel but can’t it reverse?

I have 20 mutual friends with her on Facebook which has made me seriously reflect on my life 🤣🤣

RonniePickering · 20/06/2025 08:45

I’m only admitting I know her because it’s anonymous on here 😂

NamedChand · 20/06/2025 08:46

@TutTutTutSigh& @RonniePickeringmy sil used to work with her and same! It’s eye opening 🤣

It's the same stuff we get in. Badly behaved child is sanctioned, tells mummy a completely untrue version of events and mummy kicks off at the school... and you sit there thinking "how truly stupid are you to believe these lies?". We have reached the point of just outright telling parents that their child is a liar.

A recent one we have is a child who is extremely verbally abusive (along with some other behavioural issues). He's telling students to "fuck off" and calling them "cunts" and "bitches". Several reports made a day. His statement says that he's trying to cut back, that the other students are "rats" for telling on him and that it's because his mum and stepdad are "a bad influence" because they do it at home. He runs home to mummy and says that he swore one time, to himself, when he stubbed his toe and she kicks off at the school about how unfair the punishment is... that the school should be "more supportive and less punitive". Like, please! So the school response was to point out that he admitted to it in writing to us and said it's all her fault anyway... The school is being "supportive", they're being "supportive" of the 250 other 12 year olds in his year group who don't deserve to get called whores, bitches and cunts every day. She's still kicking off and you just wonder what it will take for her to actually parent him.

Several times a day we have markers on sanctions where a student will be given a detention and will actually say to staff "it doesn't matter, my mum/dad will just get it cancelled". And when sanctions impact parents (i.e. afterschool detentions or being excluded) they come in with the "you can't do that, that impacts me" - like, that's half the point, actually. If you stop being a shit parent then our job is easier and your child benefits - now that this sanction impacts you, maybe it'll be in your interests to get your child to behave!

Last year we had beef between 2 weather pages. The people who run them live 15 miles apart and would be vastly different in their reporting but even funnier they would post things like ‘we here at x weather would never say it’s going to snow next week. Anyway if you want to sponsor the page let me know’

to which the other would respond ‘I only ever report what I can see and this page will never charge to be used’ 🤣 amazing
