To be hurt

One girl from the friendship group invited everyone for the birthday party except me. We know each other a couple of years as we were from the same country originally and were living in the same neighborhood in London. One girl celebrated her birthday in the pub with lots of people. She didn’t invite me but invited 3 other ladies. AIBU to be hurt? What should I do?

Clicked YABU by accident, sorry. YANBU, that sounds really hurtful. There’s not much you can do unless you want to reach out and ask why. I think it would be OK to do that

I’ve been there. It really hurts. Maybe you need prioritise other friendships.

That sounds really hurtful, you can either reach out and ask why, try forget about it and move on as normal or start to distance yourself from the friendship.

I did the first suggestion and asked why and my group of ‘friends’ didn’t respond well to it. I’ve now not seen them for 6 months.

YANBU, thats crap. I'd talk to one of the others to see if there was a fake reason given for why you weren't there, but its possible you've been Wendied.

I don’t want to create drama but at the same time I can’t get it out of my head. I’m meeting one of ladies for a coffee next week and I’ll ask if she knows anything
