Work as a writer

I am looking for help to find work as a writer / content producer. I'm aware with the advent of AI that these types of jobs are diminishing. I would really appreciate any ideas people would have of what I could explore or where I could look for work?
I did originally post in Work.
Thanks

Writer of what? Producer of what?

I work in a creative agency which employs both writers and content producers. They are different jobs requiring different skills.

What's your experience? What are you good at? What can you do better than an AI?

Why should anyone employ you as a writer? Everyone on this site can write to some level. What makes you stand out?

Thank you @MasterBeth you've given me a lot to think about. I appreciate my post wasn't clear.

I did bits of work as a copy writer (mainly re writing people’s websites/product descriptions), and as a freelance writer, writing anything anyone would pay me for for years.

Mummu bloggers killed some of it off as they all thought they could write and would do anything for a fiver, and publications liked it if they had good social media numbers and now, why pay someone to do your website or write your product descriptions when AI will do it in seconds for free?

I also used to do script editing, but ditto AI.

So it depends on what you want to write.

@Shuttupmeg appreciate your input. In the past it was mainly centred around women.

It's going to be very hard to get paid work as a writer now unless you have specific experience or can demonstrate great value. I say this as a copywriter - both in work adjacent to medcomms, and some additional freelance work.

If you are on LinkedIn, however, you'll see there are still vacancies, so it's a matter of contacts, gaining experience, and so on. What are your plans?

@BasicBrumble thanks. I'm going to take some time and have a good hard think about what area I can add expertise to.
