To ask about iPhones?

What’s an ideal way to get a new one? I have an iPhone 12 which is really slowing down and I think on its last legs. I am looking at getting a new one but not sure how. Exploring the idea of renting one, buying one on 0% from Apple (£20 a month for 2 years and then maybe just getting a SIM only on top), buying direct from Apple - a push atm cos on SMP, but maybe best?? or a contract with the likes of O2? Tips appreciated, I’ve been on SIM only on this phone for so long but it’s decided not to work very well anymore. Not bothered about having the latest one but would like a 14 or 15.

I always buy second hand ones and have a sim only with smarty. But I guess it depends how much you want to pay

£20-40 a month, or up to £600 outright. I would just like it to be reliable

I’m in the same boat with my iPhone which I bought as a reconditioned SE 2 & sim only. It’s managed to receive iOS 18 updates but will stop any time now & I don’t know best option either. I’m limited finances (due to ill health) but not able to cope with a different operating system /andrioid. Think am going to go reconditioned again (from Apple or recommended seller) but want to make sure w’ever phone I get can cope with Apple AI & that it will last me a good few years before I’ll have to upgrade again. It’s a minefield! Be interested to hear what you decide!

I buy a new one sim free from Apple as they have the best warranties when purchasing directly. My previous one lasted just over 5 years.
