To hate job application forms

I'm currently trying to include all the information they have asked for in the personal statement, I have to give evidence to show I meet all the criteria specified in the job description. However, the box is about two thirds of an A4 page. There is no way I can fit it all in. I've written 2 full pages, edited it down several times to be concise, but it's impossible to evidence everything they want in that space. There isn't a word limit, but the box is fixed size and doesn't expand. It's a locked pdf, so I can't edit or expand the text box. I've contacted the HR team in case they had an upper limit or different format and they've not been very helpful, just said include what you need to include which is very vague. Any tips please mumsnet?

If you have word on your computer, you should be able to download the file open it in word and then edit as needed. Unless it's a totally locked pdf. I have to do this with forms at work sometimes.

Oh yes and I absolutely hate job application forms, especially as I work in an industry where they require your entire job history without any breaks from when you've left school. Now I'm older it seems totally ridiculous.

Thanks for the reply, it's totally locked unfortunately. I know, I'm nearly 50 so have lots of experience to include! I think I might have to add as much as I can in the text box in as small a font I can get away with without it looking ridiculous, and then send a separate one page with the additional stuff. If I have another edit to make it as concise as possible, and put the more pertinent bits first, I think that should be OK. If they don't read the additional page, at least I've tried. They didn't specify a word limit when I asked so I think that is the best I can do.
