Day out yesterday, historical seaside town with various lovely view points. DP a bit grumpy all day and not paying a lot of interest to anything. Anyway, at one particular location I asked him what he thought of the view and he said ‘not great really….hang on, it’s just got a lot better now’ just as an attractive woman walked past, and he joked about her bum being the highlight of his day so far.

A bit disrespectful, surely? I told him to shut up and he said I should lighten up and ‘have a laugh’

I never wrote that, you’re quite wrong.

I have literally screen shot!!

WhereHasMyPlanetGone · 12/06/2025 20:03

Who wrote it using your account then?

We have no children and a very comfortable life, but my wife seems dead from the waist down and has no interest in sex with me, or anyone else for that matter - she doesn’t even masturbate.
So I feel your pain, you won’t change her.

As plain as day!

Tristan5 · 12/06/2025 20:06

No idea, those are categorically not my words.

You can see from my genuine posts that those words were not written by me.

seeing as you repeatedly say that you wife is on mumsnet, perhaps she hacked your account?!

either way, your username definitely posted that. You can see for yourself. Just go back to the date of that post in AS?

Lucyliesdown · 12/06/2025 20:14

@Tristan5 you have seen the screenshot I posted?

Tristan5 · 12/06/2025 20:20

Sorry, we’re watching Dragons’ Den, catch you later!

I’m very happy and content, thanks.

I’m not so sure about you though, but I frankly can’t be bothered to search your posts.

Are you aware that your behaviour is becoming a touch off, you’re making me feel uncomfortable!!

Anyway, enough for now, enjoy the rest of your evening!

CloudywMeatballs · 12/06/2025 21:29

Yes, it would piss me off, but then again I wouldn't be in a serious relationship with a man who would make a comment like this.

You denied saying something really personal and unpleasant about your wife

and I literally posted a screen shot of said comment

and instead of owning it… you’re got defensive and shuffled off 👋

I am often shocked at how men are often demonised on Mn but in this instance the man was utterly vile, insulting and disrespectful. Did he expect his wife to laugh along with him like one of the lads? How anyone can defend this man is beyond me. Some womem, like Op really need to raise their bar. I can imagine how Ops, "partner" functions in other areas of his life...

If you can’t take the heat stay off MN! You’ve been made to look a right fool, and the denial “it’s not me” is bordering on madness!

It’s there to be seen!!

Have you ever seen Tristan and his wife in the same room?

Thought not!

He’s got his feet under the table so he doesn’t need to make an effort any more.

This.
100%
He's now training you to stop expecting effort or manners.

whynotmereally · 12/06/2025 21:53

Your firmly out of the honeymoon phase and seeing his true colours.

Hes moody
he doesn’t care if his mood ruins your day
he makes misogynistic comments
he doesn’t care if it bothers you when he talks about other women’s bodies
he makes out you are the issue and tries to silence you by saying you have no sense of humour
he doesn’t clean up after himself adequately and has to be asked/reminded like a teenager.

Honest I’d bet money this will only get worse.

Honestly I don't think that would bother me much, it's just a lame joke. I do get not every would agree and it could be annoying. That said the reaction here is completely OTT, why does everyone assume he is a vile man over 1 comment. If he was grumpy I'd assume he was tired or stressed, his comment was childish but I don't agree this is a damaged relationship unless there is other real issues going on.

I agree 100% with this. Lighten up people maybe it was just a joke to lighten the mood. I don't understand why everyone thinks it's such a big deal..Does no-one have banter with their partner?

Look at the post above yours. It wasn’t just a ‘joke’. It’s everything else too.

Oh is that THIS imaginary wife?

My wife laughed. but then she has a sense of humour, like the vast majority of my female friends. (posted at 19.53)

You do realise I’m not serious, don’t you?!

I can’t sleep, still too warm, but my imaginary wife is out for the count!

There was a thread a few weeks ago, of a mum with her DC /DP out for the day at a fete for jubilee day.he was grumpy and hadn't wanted to be there. Children enjoying themselves. He spotted an attractive lady and made a horrible comment, and stated at her all day! They don't improve OP .you need to think about your future
