I'd like one that doesn't leak if it isn't upright in a cup holder! Also, one with a spout I can drink from so I don't have to unscrew and remove the lid. Please tell me which water bottles have been your 'best buy ever'?! Thank you!

Sho Guzzler or the straw bottles from Lululemon.

Ion8 are good bottles - leak proof, push button opening, lots of different sizes and colours. You can usually buy them in TK Maxx/Home sense.

Yes, these are the best we’ve tried. Easy to clean with no manky straws too. The lid can be flipped open one handed while driving.

SHO leakproof, indestructible even by my kids!!!! Some lovely designs and interchangeable lids. They are super and three years of daily use ours looks good as new!

PrimalLass · 09/06/2025 16:07

Sho Reusables.

My fave. I have the black leopard one.

Ninja thirsti - although it doesn't have a spout, just a small twist off cap. Keeps drinks cold for decades and is completely leak proof, and happily goes through the dishwasher

Highly recommend Hydragear. DP got me one from TK Maxx and I use it every single day. No leaks! I’ve actually gotten rid of my Stanley in favour of this 😊

Midlifecrisis23 · 09/06/2025 16:11

Another vote to Ion8 bottles

chocopuffs · 09/06/2025 16:11

I LOVE my Owala. It has a straw and spout option, the lid opens with a click and it’s leakproof. Only the lid and straw are dishwasher safe but I think that’s fairly common with insulated bottles.

Get a cycling "bidon'... No faff, and designed for drinking on the go. Probably cheaper too 😀

TaupeRaven · 09/06/2025 16:22

I have this Stanley bottle (I have to admit to scoffing at the obsession with their cups, but I really like this bottle). When I went to find a link for the OP, I was surprised at it having a 3-star rating, but on reading one person lost the o-ring so their bottle leaks, and another dropped it and cracked the lid. Mine is leakproof and sturdy - I've had it for a couple of years now

Go Quick Flip Water Bottle | 0.7L | Stanley

Contigo Autoseal Perfection!
I can only use one and struggle to remove lids, but Contigo opens with a button

JellyBellies · 09/06/2025 16:28

Another vote for ion8! You get different sizes, plastic and metal, straw and no straw.

Absolutely leak proof.

Another vote for these, but do have a screw cap.

SHO are excellent - a variety of water bottles, and mugs in different colours & patterns.
They also sell the lids separately for when your kids loose them.

TheatreTraveller · 09/06/2025 16:31

Klean Kanteens. So many different kinds. We all have them for everyday use and have also gave lots of them as gifts.

I agree with this and they can go in the dishwasher too. Always a winner!

I have this Stanley one and I love it. Like PP I scoffed at the obsession and I couldn’t have one of the massive ones but this is a perfect size for me. I prefer the top handle to the side ones as well if I’m carrying it to Pilates or wherever.

This pic is it right now, I’m out the house and I just chucked it in a bag with a notebook and some shopping and not a drop leaked on my walk here. I have cheaper ones but I wouldn’t trust them in a bag with a notebook like I would this one.

I have a Chillys with the Sport Cap lid. I hand wash it for preference.

LogicalBlodge · 09/06/2025 16:51

I got a Sho one with a spout. Went for 900ml so is massive.

Expensive but zero regrets.

TigerRag · 09/06/2025 16:52

I got a cheap one from Tesco. Has a straw / spout and doesn't leak
