Do you miss snogging males?

Remember being 14/15 or so onwards and just sooo much kissing, so much fancying of different boys, feeling excited if you’d see them that night and if you’d get to go with them 😂
I don’t think I’ve kissed like that since my mid twenties maybe…40’s now.

If you are this age and date again, do you kiss like this? I really have no idea

I miss the giddy intoxicating feeling of lust with your belly doing flip flops just getting a whiff of their after shave or seeing a little peek of hair above their shirt buttons and imagining the sex ! Me and DH never snog, it'd feel false and silly now! I love him but in a deep, proper way. He's my family. The love we have now is stronger and made of something more precious. I'm grateful for it.

But yes, I do miss those flutters of pure animalistic urges. They were never designed to last though. It's a trick played on us to reproduce. It's very similar to being drugged.

When you get past all that and look at humans reproductive organs, both men and women's, they're absolutely bloody gross, why on earth would you be desperate to put mouths, hands, god knows what anywhere near them 😄. My own fanny grosses me out these days ! 😁

Love this and it made me laugh!

Seeing anyone snogging is 🤢 to me now and the sound of it is double 🤢🤢 and I used to love snogging but I grew out of that one 😅

At some point in old age surely people stop snogging?! 😅 I think snogging should be banned for over 40 year olds! runs and hides 😅😅

PomeloOud · 09/06/2025 20:15

Why do people stop snogging? Do they downgrade it to just lips touching? I find it intriguing. Nothing better than a passionate kiss with a good snogger.

Game0fCrones · 09/06/2025 20:20

If men only knew how important great kissing was, they'd get so much more sex.

SunnySideDeepDown · 09/06/2025 20:26

I love these types of threads. Suddenly so many young and in love 40/50 yr olds snogging everyday!

Yeah right. Most couples bicker, a quick kiss on the lips if lucky and a “see ya” as you run around to work and after the kids.

Dont believe everything you read OP.

Ask him for it. I love it. Sometimes DP just comes to my front door and when I open it that’s the first thing he does.

It’s different being in a newer relationship than in a long term marriage. Things change, life happens. I’d say it’s a vast minority of marriages than involve snogs at the door front!

Berlinlover · 09/06/2025 20:33

My partner and I snog every day. I’m 48 and he’s 69. We’re together four years.

God imagine being a child and seeing your parents sticking their tongues in each other’s mouths on a regular basis. Absolutely ridiculous, no one normal does this

Ah I have, sadly, but he's too polite with his kissing technique. I want a proper kiss fest! We do often kiss on the lips but nothing prolonged and rarely with tongue. I naively thought life with a baby would help us have a few teenage moments of stole passion where we could get it (scarcity breeding passion), but aside from doing the deed in some rather strange places there's been no snogging

NooneElseIsSingingMySong · 09/06/2025 22:49

Ah snogging. Better than ‘getting off’ 😬 with someone which did the rounds where I lived when I was a teenager!
I got divorced a few years ago. We hadn’t snogged in years. He wasn’t a great kisser and his dental hygiene deteriorated, which put me off. I used have End of a century by Blur ‘We kiss with dry lips when we say good night’..
After I started dating again, I met someone new. I had a couple of ‘snogs’ before I met DP. Very weird to kiss someone new! It was exciting getting ready for dates and the possibilities.
When I first met DP, I had butterflies. I remember thinking immediately how much I wanted to kiss him! Second date we’d found somewhere we thought was private to have a smooch but someone passing us said ‘get a room!’ 😆
We’ve been together 2 1/2 years but still live apart (too complicated to blend families) so we usually see each other every other weekend. Have a snog when we first see each other and we have a habit of snogging through ad breaks when we are watching TV! I love that we still have that passion.

NeilDiamondsBlowDry · 09/06/2025 22:52

No 🤮

foreveryoung100 · 09/06/2025 23:07

Seperated last year after 27 years together, he never liked kissing apart from the first couple of months. Now I kiss every chance I get and I love it.

CoalTit · 09/06/2025 23:29

Kissing/snogging is one of the great things about being single again.

ARealitycheck · 10/06/2025 01:29

Like PP's for me it was that sense of not knowing where it would lead. Getting the butterflies. Even the meaningless snog. I think it is that time of innocence combined with awakening sexuality that many of us mourn for more than the snog itself.

DancingDangerously · 10/06/2025 10:02

Oh definitely there's no question that it's very exciting to kiss someone new, and I'm nostalgic for my young years too sometimes. I wouldn't trade DH to go back to it though! But if you're single it's certainly one of the perks.

It's quite depressing to see that people actually think a woman who says she's still passionate with her husband is lying!

My children are long since grown up so no passionate kissing in front of them. It's actually good for children to see healthy affection between their parents but I wouldn't get into a full-on make out session, that's a private thing!

It's a really good way to keep things close and intimate in a relationship, as long as both of you want it. I'm in the latter throes of perimenopausal upheaval now and I'm so glad I haven't lost that side of things as I would really feel sad to not be close anymore.

@Boredeoboredbored you could try it, you know. It's easy to lose connection with yourself and your sexuality when you're in a long-term relationship and also to stop seeing your OH as attractive and exciting. That doesn't mean that the passionate side of you is lost forever; you can very likely find it again (if you want to).

Dontlletmedownbruce · 10/06/2025 13:43

It's not really about the act of kissing though it's who you kiss. In theory I could snog DH anytime i wanted but I can't be bothered cos it just him, isn't it? The same mouth I've been able to kiss for 30 years. It's nothing personal im sure he hasnt much interest in kissing me either. I'd only be excited if I got to kiss someone new, sadly I often fantasise about this rather than sex itself.

I know 😅 Can you imagine catching your 80 year old grandparents necking in the kitchen, tongues an' all?!! 🤣🤢

But it’s not real. It is definitely NOT the majority of long term relationships who snog still in midlife.

Probably because your relationships is still every other weekend. You keep the best parts of yourselves for each other. When you live together, with kids and life stresses, snogging kind of goes out of the window.

MidoriNoRingo · 10/06/2025 20:01

We still snog! Not with tongues though I’ve always found that revolting.

Koazy · 10/06/2025 21:45

People who don’t snog their partners, what about during sex? Surely you do then?

Oh god yes. Big strapping lads in denim jackets.

How do you snog without using tongues?
