To think that M&S bra sizing is a law unto itself?

Got measured today in a local department store by a very experienced fitter. Measured 30FF but as that size is thin on the ground they found me a few 32F that did the job. Freya, Fantastie and Chanelle branded all fit me in that size, another couple of brands just weren’t quite right on the cup in an F but fine on the band.

Meanwhile in M&S a 32 simply will not meet around my back. A 34 just does up and is painfully tight. If I’d have had time I’d have got measured there too, interested to see what they told me.

Do they use a different tape measure to the rest of the lingerie industry?? I’m a bit baffled by it.

Totally agree, there's a lot of good things about M & S but their lingerie/underwear department is brutal due to their sizing oddities. Gave up on it years ago.

I got measured in M&S a couple of years ago and was told I'm a 32DD. I'd been wearing 34B my whole life and I was probably wearing the wrong size but the 32DD felt like the air was being squeezed out of me and the cups felt underfilled! In the end I stopped wearing bras altogether. My actual breasts aren't large enough that I feel I need the support and 99% of bras are a sensory nightmare with my autism and asthma.

Oh god yes. They don't do up around my back and the straps are so short. I'm 36b but even a 38d wouldn't do up. I thought it was just me.

There was some debate a while ago about their sizing of large-size underwear. In fact there was a massive hoo-ha 🤔😀
(I'll get me coat 😀)

They also dont do the FF cup, so if you measure as a FF you'd need to go to a G instead
