I recently had my nails done and I’m in actual love with them. Can you be so in love with your own nails that you want to just stare at them forever and ever? So show me your nails now or your best nails! I told my nail tech to go ‘retro’ and that she did!!

A pale lilac by Barry M at the moment. More subtle than my usual, but I quite like it.

You are me, I just bought this colour on my Sainsbury shop plus an Essie colour on offer - it was 56p 😮

I agree. They are natural looking. I have a similar nail polish.

I use my hands a lot - computer work, gardening, cooking etc and find that long nails get in the way, so how do long nail owners manage?

I do all those things a lot too. I can do with them nails about half a centimetre past my fingertips, maybe longer.

I think it’s just something you get used to. I have them cut short sometimes just for a changed look.

I just do everything as usual and mine are very long, gardening, laptop, personal hygiene, DIY etc

Very hard to photograph as the colour changes when they move but I’ve got these cat-eye iridescent ones at the moment. It’s a black base with chrome over the top and a transparent red top coat (I think? It was all quite complicated and I zoned out a bit while the nail tech was doing them).

I absolutely love these! Very goth-y, might steal for DL next week!

These are the only ones I like really, they're great. I'm not a fan of gel nails unless they are REALLY well done, and I don't think the "clenched fist" pose for nail photos is very flattering.

I'll never understand why people come on threads like this to state they don't like any of them or that they don't like anything on their nails, totally unnecessary. I know mine will be hated on Mumsnet, not least because of my fat fingers but I love them anyway and they make me happy. Mine are just press ons that I get made from Etsy though. Some people like natural nails and that's totally fine and others like bold designs and that's fine too.
