I’ve just seen a lad have a lemsip straight out the sachet without mixing it with anything. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s ill. Google says it can make you ill. He just said I’ve got a cold and took it straight out the sachet without mixing.🤢🤮

I wouldn't do it because the whole point of a Lemsip is a hot, comforting drink. I don't suppose it will kill him.

It's just aspirin or paracetamol with some fake lemony drink bullshit in it, I think. Not going to harm him.

Short of leaving a weird, bitter taste in his mouth it’s not likely to do him any harm - the dosage is the dosage whether you mix it with water or not.

I had a friend who used to chew the effervescent berocca tablets quite happily, said they tasted like fizzy sweets. Perhaps some people with fewer taste receptors for “bitter” just don’t notice.

A district nurse once told us that it's not uncommon for some elderly men to take soluble paracetamol without water. (Not mistaking it for the regular kind - they let it fizz in their mouth.)

My uncle an elderly man used to do this with beechams powders knock them straight over! He's 90 so it's not done much harm but still it must be so dry and powdery !

I dont like lemsip but we had some in the medicine cupboard. I just swallowed it straight out of the pack when I was ill and had nothing else to take.

If I remember rightly there is a Lemsip that you can take straight from the packet!

Some years back was there not a TV ad that showed it being taken that way - suppose it was aimed at those on the way to work. Or did I just imagine that?
