I really meant from his own trials and convictions.

You said he risked collapsing a grooming gang trial - I would imagine the court records relating to Robinson's conviction were mostly concerned about the rapist defendants receiving a fair trial?

Itcantbetrue · 06/06/2025 21:27

@MrsMitford3 I agree with your post earlier on but also I'd prefer not to serve sexist people

For a lot of TR haters you sure know a lot about the man. If I had hatred for someone it wouldn’t interest me in the slightest to read about him. But you’s have properly put some time into studying him 😳

I know what he’s made very public. He’s pretended to be a journalist and nearly collaps3d a trial. He’s bullied a teenager, admitted it, and continued the bullying. In the course of making all this public, he’s made me aware of previous violent offences and membership of racist groups. I don’t are about whether he loves his mum or not. I know enough to have total disdain for him. Because he has made it public.

I didn’t need to google. And I’m aware the primary definition is the most I portant. So while it doesn’t negate the others, it provides context. The entering a space in an unwelcome way stuff is all related to the ‘armed force’ in the primary definition.
I‘m sorry you feel so scared by desperate people.

You're just making stuff up as you go along now.

I'm not scared of desperate people who are genuine asylum seekers fleeing war. I am concerned about unvetted young men coming into my country from areas that are not in active conflicts though! As any sensible person should be. Particularly, women when you look at the sexual assaults by nationality across Europe.

Do you think they shouldn’t?
But I was thinking about his trial regarding bullying a teenager really. The one he’s just got out of prison for.

But a group of Irish Travellers who were known to be violent and racist couldn't be asked to leave an establishment they'd done nothing wrong in (yet) merely because there was a perception based on prior knowledge of them that they pose a risk in terms of potential behaviour and reputational damage.

Because they have a protected characteristic.

You could exclude specific people on the basis of their known and specific past behavior. You can't do so based on their ethnicity.

I dont think you know what a protected characteristic is (you seem to think some people have them and some people don't...)

If they aren’t eligible for asylum they’ll be sent back.

How public though because I just ask two family members who he is and they don’t even know who he is, never heard of him 🤷🏻‍♀️ sounds like you’ve been digging 🫢

Unfortunately the bleeding hearts act is not unexpected on MN. Thankfully, it is not an accurate representation of how many of us are feeling about this issue, hence the rise of Reform.

Themoonandfourpence · 06/06/2025 21:33

I understand a restaurant/shop/pub can refuse service without giving a reason.

However, I think the establishment in question was totally unreasonable to take their order, serve them, let them get half way through the meal and then ask them to leave.

I wonder if they had to pay ?

It’s not my fault your family members don’t keep up with the news. Nothing I’d like less than digging into SYL. It’s common knowledge if you are politically and socially aware.
Have you been assuming people on the thread aren’t?

The reason people don't like him is because they know things about him. Like he's a violent, racist, criminal thug.

Indeed. I bet the OP was shocked at the polling on her thread. I said earlier that many people feel the same but are too worried about the pile on. Ridiculous and like being back at school.

Their ‘policies’ are utter fantasy.

Sure. Is that why the hotels are full to the brim and they are being pushed out into HMOs...

But no-one knows whether they are "genuine" asylum seekers or not until their asylum application has been heard and determined by the Home Office. That can take a couple of years, and the process can't be started until they're in the UK.

You were posting about the other case shortly before I posted.

I was asking you about the court records you claimed to have read, not offering an opinion.

That’s because the Tories more or less stopped assessment. Thousands have gone since Labour came into power, both by forced return and by people realising they will be sent forcibly if they don’t go voluntarily so taking themselves away.
That gif is very childish.

PaulKnickerless · 06/06/2025 21:38

The alternative to being denied service would be kitchen staff pissing in his wine or jerking off into his peppercorn sauce!

I think we all know that's nonsense.
We are often hearing about "failed asylum seekers" getting involved in crime.

So why are they still here?

What if we don't know who they are or their country of origin refuses to accept them?

When was the last load of failed asylum seekers shipped out?
