I was just having a conversation with a work colleague about previous insane work colleagues/ bosses and was wondering if anyone else had any funny stories (we are having the office carpets redone for two hours so we are just sitting around).
My favourite ever boss was when I was around 25, he would come in at 9am, sniff lines of cocaine in the bathroom then enter the office off his head. There were many incidents but I ended up walking out on this day:
We were selling products to various countries (food based luxury goods) and our shipment to Korea got cancelled as they had an outbreak of bird flu. After letting him know, he shouted at me (after a bathroom break) that I should ring Korea. I stared at him for around 10 seconds then asked him if he knew if the country had a main phone line? He told me to ring the President 😂. I again stared at him as I knew he was deadly serious and couldn't control myself any longer and laughed directly in his face. He proceeded to sit across from me and slam his fists onto the table repeatedly very slowly whilst staring directly at me (think Matthew Mcconaughey in Wolf of Wall Street restaurant scene) and making grunting noises. This went on for around 3 minutes before I got up, told him to fuck off and walked out.
He called me later sober to try and get me back in but I was done. 😂
