I bought an M+S beauty bag out of sympathy for them...well sort of.

I do like a bargain and I also like shopping, so not saying there was nothing in the act for me.

At what point will the bag get moved? I am on tenterhooks here. When you go upstairs for a wee post-tea? When you've accumulated a small pile of other things that need to go up, like toilet rolls and washed knickers? Randomly when you fancy? The suspense is killing me.

I've got loads of jars of preserved lemons because I got a box of them on TooGoodToGo. I have a few recipes with them in but I was interested in this one.

However, I don't understand "preserved lemons, pith removed and rind sliced" - can anyone explain to me how you would achieve that?

Im starting to feel the pressure to be honest. I wish I hadnt disclosed that its sitting there.

There are times when some days go past. If Im honest sometimes it spreads into weeks.

Perhaps the extra boxes of toothpaste, a rarely worn item that needs taking upstairs or in particular things without an actual home. Sitting on the side of the stairs.

In this case, I realise now I didnt think it through because I keep buying their bloody beauty bags, often if Im honest being a bit disappointed with whats in them, so Im full up of beauty products so now I dont really have enough space for the 'debagging' as someone has called it.

So now what?

I’ve been feeling morally obliged to go to M&S and buy some things to support them. Maybe this is my sign from the universe to do it. My hair looks like a hedge with the postpartum regrowth, I am tempted by the dream coat in the beauty bag. I’ve also seen a nice black linen jumpsuit in there and some sandals calling to me. Would genuinely have bought them if online was working. Shall have to make the trip. Ooh and the chocolate covered pecans are a guilty treat - haven’t managed to get a pack home yet I usually eat them in the car in secret before the children find them!

I hate those lucky bag things, always end up selling half the stuff

OP, I need you to go and get the beauty bag off the stairs and open the floral street perfume. What do you think of it? At first I thought ‘ dear G*d! What is that hideous smell?’, but 20 minutes later, I’m now thinking ‘Ooh, this smells divine - very exotic’. Not a hint of preserved lemon.

Anyway please do update on Bag Stasis. I am going to bed now but I am especially keen to know if anything dramatic happens in the night like it trips you up and you fall down the stairs and need a hand hold because you're on a trolley in A&E at 3am.

They had loads of the Beauty Bags today in the M&S I was in, but my mind wasn't on Beauty items .(Or preserved lemons truth be known)

They;d bloody moved things for their own amusement , so I went to the Food Hall .

Just FYI, I normally use a product called Young Again (joke) by Kevin Murphy, its expensive and Im running out so I was hoping those hair products would be good replacements for a while.

I bought the Floral Street Electric Rhubarb off QVC a couple of years back .
On me it was boggingly sweet like candyfloss , not a hint of rhubarb .
Shame because I really wanted to like it .

I have no Sparks reward offers , just some White Stuff 2 for£40 Tops that I cannot order as they're online only .

I went to M&S this evening, as is our Thursday tradition. DH is away at a hobby and DD and I buy whatever food we fancy and eat it in front of the telly. We love Thursdays.

At 5:00pm there was zero pastry and zero chocolate ice cream in stock. We had to settle for mini chocolate loaf cakes. I had just 1/2 of one, which kept in under my calorie budget for the day.

I will look for lemon preserves next time
