Relief after job interview

ThisBluntCyanMaker · 05/06/2025 17:22

I would have scored low because my knowledge was lacking and they told me would make a decision by end of the day. Even confirmed this on email after I did the emailed task.

Now end of the day and no call. Phew.

Clear I couldn't do the job.

You’re happy you didn’t get the job?

ThisBluntCyanMaker · 05/06/2025 17:24

I tried! Yes I didn't get the call so don't think.i.got.the job. I would be surprised if I did

I don't think it's unusual to have a job interview, realise it's actually not right for you and be relieved to get a no.

Why did you apply? Odd to be relieved that you didn't get it.

ITUnhelpdesk · 05/06/2025 17:49

If they called you tomorrow and offered you the job, what would you do?

I had an interview a couple of weeks ago and realised during it they had been very exaggerated the advert and I was too experienced so withdrew. The panel even said the advert sounded more exciting than the job actually was.

I don't think it's unusual at all. A lot of job adverts are poorly cobbled together and lack important information that you only discover at interview.
