I won’t be telling the children. Their father has disappeared and is incommunicado with them and me. It is tough going being everything.

If it makes you feel better, do it. You deserve to treat yourself. You’ll not be taking anything away from anyone including your children. Fill your boots.

Absolutely do!! You're doing his job and you deserve a treat 👏

Buy yourself a nice gift every now and then, even something small, but I do think it's a bit odd to call it a Father's Day gift tbh.

You fo what works for you . I find ignoring Father’s Day is the best approach for me .

SteakBakesAndHotTakes · 05/06/2025 15:09

I ignore Father’s Day or would make it a ‘special male relative’ holiday. Where I am schools don’t celebrate Father’s Day so it’s not a huge issue

XWKD · 05/06/2025 15:10

What a brilliant idea! Of course you're NOT being unreasonable.

NimbleTiger · 05/06/2025 15:35

Absolutely!!! Celebrate yourself you're worth it lol

CopperWhite · 05/06/2025 15:37

You can buy yourself a treat for any reason you like if you can afford it.

I’m a single parent and Father’s Day doesn’t even register on my horizon!

I treat myself when well damn well fancy and funds permit. Suggest you do the same
