HSG scan - NHS

Hello.. I am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience to me with a HSG scan. I had one today and it was rather unpleasant although bearable and was over quite quickly. The women doing the scan didn’t speak during the scan other than to tell me what they were doing and I couldn’t see the screen during the procedure. The pain was intense but stopped as soon as the dye was removed and I’ve not had much cramping since but a bit of spotting which they warned me was normal. At the end, I asked if they could tell me anything but they said that the images needs to be looked at by a radiologist as there were lots of images taken and then it will be passed on to my gynaecologist.. is this normal ? It didn’t alarm me at the time but now I’m thinking was this because there was a blockage

If it’s any consolation mine didn’t give anything away other than it went on for ages so she then said she was having trouble getting the dye in

I didn’t see a screen either - had to wait for results
