To ask how I check an online course provider is legitimate?

Just that really! I am wanting to take a qualification to enhance my career. There aren't many options for the training pre exams but one keeps popping up that looks good and I have spoken to the founder who raves about the 100% pass rate. However, on downloading their sample module it isn't great. It has multiple spelling errors and there were some glaringly obvious errors in the topic covered. This topic wasn't the course I want to take though which is a much higher level.

The course is a good chuck of money so don't want pay and find it crap!

Any ideas how I check a company/their provision is legit?

Thank you in advance and apologies, posted for traffic in AIBU.

I think you know this one isn’t that good by your comments. Is it a professional qualification you are seeking?

It is but the training isn’t regulated. The examiner has no affiliations with any particular course. It’s a global qualification and I think I’m going to have to use a US based training provider (which are both cheaper and look more professional).

I’ve decided not to use the company in my OP as I received a mailing list email from them today and it was littered with spelling errors!
