To think these parents are rude and inconsiderate?

It's a humid night where I am and as I've been up since 5am, I thought I'd have an early night.

Two campervans and a car have parked up across from me (its a wide road) and between them they have three small kids who are playing out and screaming and shouting. I've closed my windows as I couldn't doze off.

Aibu to think the parents should be more considerate at this time or am I being a killjoy?

It's far too late for small children to be up and playing, even if it is the weekend. They ought to be in bed by now.

It's warm and summery, the last "holiday" evening of summer half term. To be fair they don't know you have been up since 5am.

They'll be gone tomorrow. I hope you get some sleep.

Are they playing on the street?

It’s all part and parcel of living in a street/town/city I’m afraid. 11pm isn’t obscenely late for a Saturday night. You might not agree with the children being up but it’s not your business. Just close the window and put the fan on (also helps to drown out any noise - I have my fan on every night for this reason)

Yeah it is, for small kids playing and shouting on the street. It IS inconsiderate. If the parents have a camper van they had a choice to go to a non built up area and not disturb other people.

I'd lean out of the (lights out) window and shout 'Shut those bloody kids up! Some of us are trying to sleep.' and sneak back to bed! 😂
