to ask about split sole dance shoes?

Can anyone tell me what it's like to use these shoes?
Would they be good for doing folk dance?
Or, can you recommend shoes with good arch support?
I've been making do with flattish shoes but getting fed up of aching legs and feet.

Not tried these particular shoes but I have a pair of split sole jazz shoes with air soles. I have to say that they are incredibly comfortable for dancing in. I am middle aged and overweight and there is no way I could cope with normal jazz shoes. I recommend getting this kind of shoe but you may need to add some arch support if you need it. I use orthotics. Can you try them at a local dance shop?

Thanks. That's very helpful to hear.
Sorry I wasn't clear. I just meant this type of shoe, not specially these ones.
I'm very far from a dance shop so I'm wondering about buying online or just waiting till I can go and try some on.

I have a pair that are very much like these that I use for a dance fit class and I love them. They give foot flexibility, don't stick when spinning etc and I actually find them more supportive as I can pull them into the shape of my foot and I'm finding that I have fewer ankle issues after class. I also have split sole tap shoes and find the same, not sure that I could go back to full soled dance shoes.

I alao bought mine online. Mine are also capezio and I did have to send them back as they ran small so that might be worth bearing in mind.

I find split sole feel very strange, and took a while to get used to, but I do like them.

I really like my Fuegos - comfortable and massively reduce the Preston knees and ankles when spinning.

I also tried DancingGaGa after being bombarded with adverts on Facebook and they are the comfiest heels I own.

Thank you for that, and to all who have commented.

I love split sole dance shoes, but we were never allowed them until we reached a certain grade as DC.

I don't think dance sneakers are the right type of shoe for folk dancing though. 'Character' shoes are more what everyone I know wears.
