To use dirt scented essential oil in my cleaning spray?

THIS IS MEANT TO BE LIGHT HEARTED!

So, I love gardening. I love nature. I love the smell of rain and flowers and earth. Much of my house (and hopefully, eventually, all of it) is decorated to be nature/plant themed (basically, if I could live outside without having to deal with bugs and extreme temps I would, and the house reflects that 🙈🤓) so I thought, I want it to smell like nature/plants too.

I make my own cleaning spray with white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, a couple drops of dish soap, and essential oils. I got this essential oil pack which has a bunch of outdoorsy scents, and in the last batch of spray, used the ones called “rain,” “night air,” and a couple that I already had in stock: agarwood, chamomile, geranium… and then after a pause, I put in a few drops of the “dirt” scented one.

I really like the result! DH hasn’t expressed an opinion, but I also don’t think he has as sensitive of a nose as I do… But is it totally unhinged to clean real dirt off of things with something that smells slightly of dirt?

That’s so last year! We prefer fresh morning dung scent. Or essence de badger’s arse. Sometimes, but only on special occasions, we’ll go for Tramp’s Arsehole. It really elevates everything.

I gotta get with the times!

Seriously though, use what you like. Earthy smells are popular for a reason. Avoid Squirrel’s Breath.

YANBU to use scents you like. 'Dirt' scent usually tries to mimic the smell of a forest floor or petrichor, neither of which smell anything like 'dirt dirt'.

I have some fragrance oil that's supposed to smell like dirt, too, but I find I haven't used it as much as I thought it would, because I'm trying to use essential oils instead. But you've inspired me to give it another try. In addition to mixing sprays and using a misting diffuser, I like dropping oils on a cotton wool ball and leaving them in drawers and other places around the house. I have a diffuser locket that works similarly, with discs of fabric to absorb the oil. Just imagine walking around smelling beautifully of 'dirt' all day! 😍

Après l’Ondée by Guerlain feels like a gentle breeze and rainbows after the rain. It's worth trying out. 🙂

I can't decide if you're house sounds whimsical and eclectic or completely mental!
Any chance of some pics so I can decide...
