I’ve been in poor mental health past few weeks

I’ve been binge eating on calorific food and am now nearly 14 stone as a short woman

yesterday I vowed would be the last day of bingeing - I have to get my life together for the sake of someone I love

today I had poor mental health but went out - weighed myself and I’ve

STUCK WITH IT 💪

stuck to my strict diet and knowing I’ve stuck with it has improved my mood 🙌🙌☀️

so proud of myself

so -

GOOD LUCK TO ALL MNETTERS ON YOUR GOALS - whatever they may be !!

Well done you! It's tough, and particularly when you are struggling mentally.

One day at a time. 💐

The first steps are often the hardest @Cordroy, old habits run deep and the conscious effort it takes to not fall back is very tricky.

So yes, be proud. Count every small win, and if you do stumble don’t consider it a complete loss, just take a breath and get back on it.

Yahoooooo! Well done. Day one well done. Keep it up :) we are all super proud of you too.

I really needed your post today. I’m stuck in the “I’ll start tomorrow” cycle but you have given me the motivation to say not tomorrow NOW. You should be absolutely proud of yourself 😊 you’re not just helping yourself but giving others the confidence to do it too. Well done you, I wish you the world of luck and happiness.

How have you been today @Cordroy? Mental health is so unpredictable and it’s so hard to cope with it by yourself. Have you got any support? There are lots of charities and organisations that provide peer support, someone non-judgemental who has lived experience of what you’re struggling with. It can be incredibly helpful Flowers

MyCyanReader · 30/05/2025 19:04

That's awesome! One day at a time!

And don't forget to have some distractions to hand if you feel the munchies coming on e.g. go for a walk, do a Pilates video online, crochet something, colouring etc... keep the hands and head busy!!

thismummydrinksgin · 30/05/2025 19:17

Amazing! Have you ever used my fitness pal? It helps to see what you’re eating. Have a walk and get some fresh air too x

Thanks so much for asking! I was much better yesterday - after having stuck to a new regime since Thursday - felt better physically and psychologically just from sticking to a regime. Went to the gym twice yesterday for the first time in ages !!
