She was part of a team and there were two other goalkeepers who went to that tournament and backed her 100% and I don't think got a minute on the pitch. It looks like a newer talent has emerged; she can either use that to push on her own game, support the squad as they did her (I hear the likely 2nd and 3rd choices aren't anywhere near her level) or she can throw her toys out of the pram. If I was in the England squad, I'd think very little of her.

She's 32 I believe and it sounds like she's been demoted, most likely for a younger player who has been coming up behind her. Maybe she just took it as a sign to retire.

She'd be my choice over Hannah Hampton in a tournament any day. She's a big game player with tons of experience. It does very much sound like Sarina had made it clear she wasn't her number 1 and she's chosen to retire but the timing is poor and even not playing she's bring a huge amount of experience and support to the team. That being said if she's not being a team player about it maybe she's best not being in camp. It seems interesting that HH is one of the few who hasn't posted about her so maybe there is some tension there

im the first to support Mary, been a big fan since day 1, absolutely love her, but I also love Hannah… and realistically Hannah has had a better season. I wouldn’t have wanted to choose and I don’t envy Sabrina at all, honestly selfishly as a Chelsea fan I’d rather Hannah not be a number 1 goalkeeper because our goalkeeper situation at Chelsea is not great now zecira left so an injury to Hannah would be detrimental. I wish she would have waited until after the euros to retire but she’s gotta do what’s right for her.but to all those saying well she’s number 1, she has experience, remember there was time she wasn’t experienced. Roebuck was number 1 goalkeeper and Mary fought her way to the spot and did a fantastic job, but it’s all about fighting for your spot.

I know as much about football (mens or women's) as I do about fruit bats, but from what I've read It seemed like she thought her position was nailed on and has flounced when a younger keeper has been brought in. It certainly doesn't seem like the behaviour of a team player.

Part of me wonders whether she wants to win trophies with PSG next season (didn't do great apparently). So when hearing she wasn't first choice she was of the opinion that she could have a decent off season and hit the new pre season head on. If this is the case then it's massively backfired on her as it doesn't look that way. I'm sure more will come out over time.
