New to this so just wondering how it all works. My first post last night was ok but some people are very nasty about punctuation and grammar. Are people that stuck up about it. Maybe some peope didn’t have good parents or some sat at their desk in class staring into space with not a clue what to do. When everyone was busy writing.

Yes but they way I spell peope will tell

No they won't, honestly. Stop worrying! There are thousands of posts posted daily and I bet you not many are remembered too much by any of us. There is the odd post that stays with you, maybe like someone struggling with a death or someone who has a weird sex life, could be anything that strikes a chord but other than that people move onto other things quickly.

Belittling people for poor grammar is bully behaviour. It's no better than calling someone ugly, fat, boring, unlikable etc. I do think it's people who are insecure with other areas of their life but know they are skilled with writing so like to put others down when they see there is something they are better than them at.

I understand that as you’ve always had an understanding of how to use it. Whereas I don’t

Yes I am.lucky to have had a good grounding in English. I had some excellent teachers who gave me a good understanding of grammar, and I've always been good at spelling, but I appreciate that this isn'tthe case for everyone. In your case, you could.look into online courses to complete in your own time, local courses or perhaps buy some workbooks to build up some foundational knowledge. Do you read often, as this will also help you? There's a great book on grammar called "Eats, Shoots and Leaves" by Lynne Truss, which explains the importance of grammar in a way that's easy to grasp. It's never too late to learn. Good luck!
