AIBU to be annoyed at my daughter’s dad?

My daughter’s dad refused to return our baby to me in 2019 when she was 5 months old, and took me to court because he wanted 50/50 custody. While in court I suggested he have her every other weekend, one evening a week for tea, and every other Thursday overnight (on the weeks he doesn’t have her on the weekend). The judge agreed to what I suggested. My ex then asked for half of the school holidays too, which was fair and the judge agreed.

I paid £10,000 going through the court system, my ex spent roughly the same I think. Ever since, my daughter’s dad has changed days and times regularly, cut his time back when he lost his driving licence, and now says that he can’t have her for half of the holidays because he has to work and doesn’t have enough annual leave. I have to work too. It’s so frustrating that he wanted to have 50/50 but he doesn’t even stick to what the court ordered. I feel like the £20,000 we spent in court could have been spent on our daughter. Is there anything I can do, or shall I just leave him to it?

sorry for the rant

If he's not having her 50/50 you could pursue him for child maintenance money.

Make sure he’s paying child maintenance according to accurate time he has her, keep messages emails and records of exactly when he has her so he can’t say you’re withholding her on his time! And yes he waisted both your money. On his days you don’t provide or pay for childcare that’s his job that’s why he’s refusing to have her he would have to arrange and pay for holiday clubs and he’s not fussed on that.

Thank you all, he does pay child maintenance. I just wish we hadn’t wasted so much money on court, as the court order obviously isn’t worth the paper it’s written on 🙈
