To HATE the site update that has removed the option to go to the last page of comments on a thread

Just that, really.

Now, instead of returning to a thread which has had lots of traffic and clicking on page 34 (or whatever) I have to scroll to the bottom of the page and click on load more comments umpteen times. It makes the long threads basically unusable. @mumsnet pleeeeease fix this by at least adding a "go to latest post" function or something.

If you mean that page numbers have disappeared and you only have continuous scroll you can go to this page https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/site_stuff/5287660-option-to-see-25-posts-per-page-has-gone?page=13&reply=144520029 and ask for pages to be reinstated.

I had to, as you said, it made the site unusable.

In the meantime, if you click on the three little dots in the top right hand corner of each post, and then press 'bottom', it should take you to the bottom of the thread.

It's back to normal for me.

On my iPhone, I still have an upwards and downwards arrow thingy next to the filter symbol (but I think I might have complained when they updated everything weeks ago)?

Ugh. Infinite scroll is so annoying. It never takes you to the point you were actually at. And I like the compartmentalisation of pages.

Thank you everyone, for letting me know how to fix this. This gives me such rage that I thought I would have to walk away from Mumsnet for a while. Hopefully they will give it up as an experiment that didn't work out.
