Just found a used condom in our bed...

miniworry · 23/05/2025 19:40

Well actually my DD aged 4 found it just as we came up to bed. 🤢 Literally just sat there in the packet at the top of the bed, still fresh liquid inside it.

Husband has been working from home today and has gone out on a works do for a few hours so I'm doing bedtime with the kids. I messaged him straight away saying WTF and he's just replied saying 'posh w*nk but I know that really doesn't help the situation I'm sorry babe'.

I don't think he's cheated because a) we have ring cameras on all 3 doors, there's been no gap in streaming all day and no one else in, and b) our bedroom is an absolute s* tip, the sheets are full of my fake tan from last night as I was changing them today and it looks just as much like Beirut in there as it did this morning.

We've got 2 young kids, one who is 1 and still isn't sleeping through and haven't had sex for about 3 weeks because quite frankly I just cba as I'm so tired..

But AIBU to be absolutely livid at the fact he's pleasuring himself whilst I am at work and b) that he left it there for my daughter to find!

Any advice on how I act when he returns home in a couple of hours would be greatly appreciated!

Don't mean to affect thoughts here so I am terribly sorry if I do 😑 he have a hidden sex toy of his own ? My cousin found a few condoms (they do not use), turns out was for his toy to avoid cleaning it out. But for the original question no he's not unreasonable to pleasure himself but yes he should bin it but we are human.

Blueberrycake12 · 23/05/2025 21:52

It's the 'babe' bit that would wide me up. Envy

You've never forgotten something, ever? H to be so perfect.

How can you even compare me ever forgetting something to leaving a used condom in my bed?

Mind boggling 🥴

You realise that’s assault? And fucking disgusting.

Seriously. ?
why do some women bother getting married .
It’s like entrapmemt. Use the men get babies and then sex is disgusting.

Sherararara · 23/05/2025 22:08

What a wanker.

ScandiStylister · 23/05/2025 22:11

IMustDoMoreExercise · 23/05/2025 21:29

Yes, I'm surprised that everyone thinks it is normal to use a condom.

Surely most men just use a tissue don't they?

Of course they do.
Or they wash the sheets if it all gets too messy.

Sex is not dry humping your partner when they're asleep. Jesus.

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 23/05/2025 21:33

Yep good point, ring doorbell footage is deletable.

I was going to ask how tech savy he is .
How much you trust him and do you know for sure where he is tonight ? @miniworry

Hedjwitch · 23/05/2025 22:12

The dry humping would piss me off a lot

Imbusytodaysorry · 23/05/2025 22:13

Cherrysoup · 23/05/2025 22:11

Is it such a crime to be aroused in his sleep next to his wife . I assume he’s asleep . Snuggling in.
I am all for respect and saying no but some of the comments are extreme.

ScandiStylister · 23/05/2025 22:13

I do find this strange because he doesn't like wearing a condom particularly during sex.

'particularly during sex'

When else would he wear one?

Cleaning his teeth? Washing the car? Making a coffee?

AdoraBell · 23/05/2025 22:14

I would make it clear to him that your 4 yr old found the condom. If he’s flippant about it I would then say - hope she doesn’t mention it to grandma (or whatever name used for his mother)

I doubt the word condom is in 4 year old's vocabulary unless the OP screamed' Oh look, darling, a CONDOM that daddy's used.'

TunipTheVegimal24 · 23/05/2025 22:18

Surely only like accidently leaving a bloody sanitary product out? Grim, but I imagine lots of women have at some point.

Snugglemonkey · 23/05/2025 22:18

pimplebum · 23/05/2025 19:55

Oh come on ! It’s no more gross than bed sheets full of fake tan !
you cba with sex so what is your problem!
your 4 year old will just think it’s a bit of rubbish so no harm done

chill 😎

I totally agree. I don't think you have a leg to stand on here.

Victoriaspo · 23/05/2025 21:43

Oh another that would rather her child picks up their own dad’s jizzy condom than sees some tanned skin colour lotion on a sheet. Crack on with your fantastic parenting.

It's a normal bodily fluid, not nuclear waste......🙄

miniworry · 23/05/2025 19:53

Sorry I probably didn't make the original Aibu bit clear- I'm honestly not bothered he's pleasuring himself, its human nature and like you said it means he might stop dry humping me in my sleep for a few days, I'm just livid that he's left the condom on the bed!

WTF I find this really weird and not funny. I hope this isn’t true.

If that's all it takes to be 'mind boggling' to you, I'm not sure how you cope with life?!

he forgot to throw the condom away, it's not that big a deal.

BoundaryGirl3939 · 23/05/2025 22:59

You can easily deactivate the Ring app by switching off WiFi.

Screamingabdabz · 23/05/2025 23:04

No bloke ever chooses to wear a condom for a wank. He’s lying.

BusterGonad · 23/05/2025 23:07

Victoriaspo · 23/05/2025 21:29

This thread is insane.

posh wanks do not exist. Especially with a man that doesn’t like using condoms normally

ring doorbell videos can be erased in like 5 seconds

people saying it’s worse for a 4 year old to see fake tan in a bed than pick up her dad’s used condom?

is this real?

My thoughts exactly. Posh wank??? Likely story!!!

BoundaryGirl3939 · 23/05/2025 23:08

Who mainly controls the Ring account

Apologies for this info -

Yes, it is possible to delete certain parts of Ring history from the app—but only if someone has access to the account and the app on their phone or computer.
Here’s what you need to know:
Deleting videos: Ring allows users to delete recorded videos or snapshots manually. Once deleted, those clips are removed from the app and cloud storage.
Account access: To do this, someone would need the login info for your Ring account or access to the device where the app is logged in.
No partial hiding: You can delete individual clips but can’t selectively “hide” parts of a video while keeping others.
Notifications: The app doesn’t alert if someone deletes videos, so it’s not obvious unless you regularly check the history.
Logs: Ring doesn’t have a detailed “audit log” that shows who deleted what or when.
If you’re worried your husband might have deleted something, check:
If you can still see all expected videos in your app.
If you have multiple users on the account (you can see/manage users in settings).
When you last checked the footage and if anything seems missing now.

Vplop · 23/05/2025 23:39

Maybe this is a signal that you need to be having sex! When I’m really tired, I ask my partner to give me a massage first. He always says yes because it leads to sex and I get a nice relaxing massage! Win win 🙂
