Amazon Want Me To Return A Used Toilet Brush

I bought a £20 stainless steel handle toilet brush three weeks ago on Amazon and already it has rusted. How I am not sure as it is not left to soak in water for any period of time.

I've filled out an Amazon returns request and they've asked to have it returned. Yes a USED toilet brush. I feel for the person unpacking this at their warehouse.

Don't return it. Just arrange an online chat and tell them that you have hygiene concerns about the return and can you send photos instead. They 100% will tell you not to return it and they'll give you a refund or replacement. I never return things to Amazon that are faulty as I don't feel I should be inconvenienced. If you follow the returns process it will ask for a return, but if you actually chat with a customer service agent they have always said no need to return and given me a refund.

It’s to stop people claiming things are faulty and getting to keep it, plus the refund.

Have an online chat with them and outline why you don't want to send it back. Be persistent and they'll usually cave in, providing you don't have form for it.

I bought an exercise bike a while a that broke after a week. They wanted me to send it back, which would mean disassembling it (it took me an age to put it back together), sourcing a box big enough for it (I'd thrown the packaging out once I'd assembled it), and waiting in for a courier to collect it.

They were adamant I needed to send it back, but after a bit of back and forth they refunded me no questions. Still had to fork out 20 quid to have someone take it to the tip for me, but could have been much worse!
