AIBU to think this is a tad high?

What Else do I get as benefits per month apart from a magazine to make the cost justifiable?

if I cancel which other product is available which is a good deal?

I would have thought this account was only worth having if you pay in the minimum amount each month (£2k) so get the Club Lloyds fee refunded. DH and I both have one and get our wages paid in. But yes the rewards are minimal - we both have the magazine subscription as effectively it’s free but wouldn’t bother if I wasn’t getting the monthly fee refunded

You shouldn't really have it if you don't pay in £2000 per month. It's not worth it. I can't imagine anyone actually pays for it, £2,000 p.m isn't a huge amount of you pay your salary into that account

paranoiaofpufflings · 20/05/2025 01:57

I get the cinema tickets, 6 free tickets per year, not much really. I also just had an email about the fee going up to £5. I agree it’s too high! My earning are not consistent as I’m freelance, so some months I’m paid a lot and other months nothing.
Time for me to switch to a new account! Bye Lloyds…

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 20/05/2025 08:50

I got this email as well!

I do get the discount for paying in over 2000, just

But the benefits are rubbish 🙄

Disney plus with ads is okay but tbh, i get full Disney plus for being with o2

F1LandoFan · 20/05/2025 08:51

It’s irrelevant if you pay in more than £2,000 as it’s refunded

EleanorReally · 20/05/2025 08:57

is this the one that gives free disney+,
glad i wasnt convinced!

Roaminginthegloaming · 20/05/2025 09:03

I was a bit shocked too at the price increase.

However, we do get free travel insurance (worldwide) and free car breakdown cover.

Also covered for loss/damage on mobile phones - (although this might be also covered by household insurance). I did claim for a replacement phone about a year ago when mine fell out of my pocket in our driveway whilst helping my elderly mother with her seatbelt…..and my husband promptly drove over it, destroying it completely!

PorgyandBess · 20/05/2025 09:08

It gets refunded so it’s moot.

I agree, the benefits are rubbish. I used to get the cinema tickets (and give them to my PA), but I don’t think they do them anymore. I get Disney + which is pointless.

I keep meaning to upgrade to a better account where you get travel insurance included.

Dreambouse · 20/05/2025 09:10

I wouldn't think many if any people actually pay for it? Id presume it was only those who had over £2k going in a month really joining it so its free?

Is that one of the higher tier accounts? You don't get those things for the basic club lloyds account

MereNoelle · 20/05/2025 09:13

I wouldn’t bother paying for it if we didn’t get it refunded. We get the cinema tickets (and use them) so they’re essentially free as the Club Lloyds amount is refunded.

That’s the Platinum account (with associated fee) rather than Club Lloyds isn’t it?

My Lloyds business account went up from £7 to £8.50 in April, for a very small business. I barely use it and there's no useful things given to me by it so I'm really not sure what exactly this charge is for.
