Without fail anytime there is a hint of nice weather the bbqs come out. Fed up of having to rush to bring my washing in to find they already stink of burnt greasy sausage and also having to close all my windows on hot days to avoid the stench. I know this makes me a bit miserable but I can’t be the only one who finds this annoying

YABU. If people want to barbecue in their own garden then so be it - despite not being a meat eater I think the smell is lovely and always puts me in a good summery mood. In the UK we get so little nice weather so why not make the most of it?

You can easily dry your clothes inside or just use a tumble dryer.

Our poor ex neighbour would heartily agree with you, first she got Kiwis for neighbours, and then, having got rid of us, she got saffies!

I do sometimes wonder if there are more threads about bbqs on MN than bbqs out there irl😂
