Inspired by DS obsession with Steve Backshall.

He would be off round the world "too busy to do childcare darling", would come home reeking of bar poo, and would insist on taking the children to play with venomous snakes "it won't hurt them if they don't bother it".

Gosh, I love this. I’m stealing it.

Jude Law would be another one!

WaffleParty · 18/05/2025 16:41

Steve Backshall is a gorgeous man. Highly intelligent and talented but also celebrates his wife’s successes. I bet he never has a lie in though.

plominoagain · 18/05/2025 16:45

Ainsley Harriott.

How can anyone be so relentlessly cheerful ? And I just know he’d be a spoonyfucker when I was cooking .

GeorgianaM · 18/05/2025 16:45

Solomon and Swash. The gurning alone would send me over the edge.

FigTreeInEurope · 18/05/2025 16:48

Bono, because he's 65, and he still hasn't found what he's looking for.

Pudmyboy · 18/05/2025 16:49

Just looked this up, the Vietnamese man said his eye injury happened when he was a soldier, and he feels Wahlberg deserves a second chance. The other people he assaulted (different place) absolutely do not forgive him.

I liked him until he said that if he had been on one of the planes on 9/11 he would have stopped the terrorists and stopped it from crashing.

To answer the question - most politicians. If they are doing their job well they won't ever really be "off". And could you imagine having a sensible decision with them.
"Can you pick up some free range eggs please darling?"
"No such thing as free range anymore because of bird flu"
"Oh. Do you think we should avoid buying eggs for the time being then?"
"Well, it would depend on whether you can trust x party to put an appropriate environmental policy in place because..."

I'm in a relationship with a (non-famous) Politician. IIRC, politics has been called "Show business for ugly people." The good ones are never off; it's a vocation, not a job. They are often very annoying, though.

Inspired by recent threads, Alice Evans!!

Prince Harry. Always looks as though he's on the edge of a tantrum. You'd be walking on eggshells all day, wondering what was going to set him off next.

Oh my god and his continuous whinging and victimhood. Bloody hell get a job.

Bono, because he's 65, and he still hasn't found what he's looking for.

He'd be useless in bed, therefore, wouldn't he?

TheEfterlingFan · 18/05/2025 17:07

Gordon Ramsey, probably very hyper and always on the go but his dc have done well and he seems to love his wife.

Victoria Beckham, must be hard living with her restrictions on diet

TheEfterlingFan · 18/05/2025 17:08

@thenightsky he's like a love sick puppy around Megan I'd be amazing if he'd ever lost his temper with her

MixedFeelingsNoFeelings · 18/05/2025 17:11

Another James Cordenophobe here. Years ago he was on Never Mind the Buzzcocks with Germaine Greer, and behaved really creepily towards her, lolling over her, putting his head on her shoulder etc. To be fair GG seemed ok with it, which was a bit disappointing! But a lifelong repulsion towards JC began.

David Attenborough
back in the day you’d have never, ever seen him!!! And when you did you’d be worrying about whatever exotic, unknown to science bug had hitched a ride with him!!
though I think he has transcended celebrity status somewhat so perhaps doesn't count!

I've always adored Harrison Ford in his movies but in real life he seems so very grumpy even when he was younger.

we worked with him recently, he was a delight. His wife and son are also lovely. He is a bit hyper and made sure to talk to everyone. So friendly and down to earth.

Mark Whalberg. I actually like him, but his workout routine would piss me off. Doesn't he wake up at 4am and go to bed at 8pm to maximise working out or some shit.

Its too much!

This made me laugh. My daughter’s BF does exactly this. 4am and 8pm, and it does piss her off. 😤
