posting here for traffic, and to try to get a broader range of suggestions.
But both DH and DD are out tonight so I have the house to myself, which never happens!
looking for suggestions for a movie to watch - so what have you seen recently that’s been good?
I have Sky, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney and Apple to choose from (yes, our bill for streaming services is😱)

Hmmm, tempted by The Young Woman and the Sea, because it’s the kind of thing DH would never watch. But Speak No Evil also sounds good…
thanks

The Miracle Club - sweet little film starring Maggie Smith and Katy Burke , about a group of people going to Lourdes.

I’m watching Ruthless People. It’s a firm favourite and a bit silly. I have the DVD but I think you can stream via Disney.

Some favourites, a bit randomly chosen but all great watches (IMHO!!!):

Netflix:

  • Atlantics
  • Anatomy of a Fall
  • Femme
  • Tár

Disney:

  • Fresh
  • Stoker
  • Another Earth
  • Nightmare Alley
  • Poor Things

Prime:

  • Secretary
  • A Single Man
  • Berlin Syndrome
  • She Will

Sky:

  • The Invisible Man
  • Ex Machina

Added these from the free channels.

BBC iPlayer:

  • Blue Jean
  • Godland
  • Compartment No 6

All4:

  • Men
  • Petite Maman
  • Carol

Also, ones I've watched on Mubi recently, which are mostly also available elsewhere but are paid for not part of the subscriptions are:

  • Perfect Days
  • Past Lives
  • Decision to Leave
  • Holy Spider
  • The Taste of Things
  • Passages
  • How to Have Sex
  • Shirley

Perfect Days is exquisite & wonderful & life-affirming & worth every penny if you don't have Mubi!!! Anyway, that should give a few options for a few evenings ... 😁!!!

Btw - the JustWatch app is your friend. Save what you fancy watching, add what subscriptions & free channels you have, & it'll filter what's available to you in the country you're in. It's so useful.
