Mumsnetters, looking for some collective wisdom, as something is happening that is very wrong.
I know someone locally who keeps setting up limited companies. They run the company for a short amount of time (last couple were under a year) then liquidate, with tonnes of debt, owing other local businesses and service providers a fortune. The last business closed with over 250,000k debt, in under 6 months, all owed to private individuals and small businesses.
The one before that, similar debt.
These debts are also accrued against smart new vehicles, nanny for the kids etc etc. essentially supporting the individual’s lifestyle.
I have reported this to HMRC. But can I do any more?
They have just set up another, very very similar business - I’m in absolute disbelief.
I am seeing the damage that is being inflicted on many people, and would like any experience/collective wisdom mumsnetters!
