What does it stand for?

Last Saturday I noticed a waitress in the place we ate had a T shirt with ADA printed on the front. Mildly interested.

On Sunday we went for a walk and a young woman we passed also had a T shirt saying ADA.

My only reference for this is a computer programming language by that name. Can't be that.

A Google for ADA suggests the Americans with Disability Acts, but that sounds a bit random for mainstream UK. I am old. What don't I know?

Adanola clothing brand by the look of google. Never heard of it before though

To me Ada is a (very old) programming language, but I’m a geek and know bugger all about clothing.

I must have spent 5 or 6 years of my early career programming in Ada. Does that make me very old?

But if their brand name is Adanola why just put ADA on the shirt? Or if they can only fit ADA then why not have that as their business name?

The fact it was capitalised implied to me it was an acronym for something.

I admit I know nothing about fashion trends, though I quite like the over size T shirt look.

We saw someone wearing one and my husband said I should get one for my sister and one for me that says ‘Cissie’! 😂😂😂
