Dla new claim

Hi everyone I'm new to dla my daughter was award Thursday 8th of May does anyone know when I should receive my backpaymet I know you get the money before the letter arrhve was just curious when I could get it

It takes about 4 working days to get from DLA to your bank. It would have been issued on the date the decision was made. Going forward, 4 weekly always on a Tuesday.

So it was made on Thursday so probably won't see the payment to around Wednesday?

As soon as they make desision they sort the back pay that day so probably not be to around Wednesday?

They make the decision enter it onto the system which calculates the backpay, then release the payment. I’d check the bank on Tuesday but Wednesday the latest. Some banks like Monzo allow you to access it earlier.

Nc sd 3.1.2025 called and not with a dm and said 2 to 3 weeks

NC, MR, CoC are all taking up to 25 weeks at the moment
