To tell you about my best ever purchase for spider haters/fearers?

I bought this a while back, and thought it might not be much use or that I might not get much use out of it. I put it in a cupboard and pretty much forgot about it.
Well, it’s bloody brilliant. You squeeze the handle and place the brush bit over the spider. The brush gathers the spider up inside. Then you release it outside by letting go of the handle … which opens up the brush. It doesn’t harm the spider as I see it running away with my own eyes.
I don’t hate or fear spiders. I used to catch them with the coaster over the glass method. But this is a million times better for my menopausal back and knees. And very reassuring for my teenage daughter who is scared of them.
I got mine from Amazon and hope the suggestion can help someone else 😊

Does the handle extend and exactly how strong are those bristles??

I couldn’t get close enough to a spider to be able to use it. I can’t be in the same room as one 😳

Good question re length and I’ll report back. The bristles are mega strong. There hasn’t been a spider that it can’t catch effectively.

@JMSA as you can see, it's obvious you aren't terrified of spiders 😅

Sorry guys, it doesn’t extend. Not my one anyway, but there may be others out there that do.
And yes, I guess it is obvious that I’m not scared of them! If it were a cockroach, there’d be a JMSA shaped hole through the wall!

I should have prefaced by saying that it’s suitable for those who are moderately or lightly scared of spiders 😁

A few years ago I couldn't even have used one of these, it would still have been too much close to - I can't even cope with dead spiders.

But I think I'd give one a try now, so thank you for the nudge 😊. If it works out I still can't then my middle phobic son probably could.

Edited to add - I even had to scroll slowly to ensure your photo didn't have a spider in it - I've thrown my phone cos of surprise spider photos lol

Oh bless you, no I wouldn’t do that! I did think my daughter was going to faint when I passed her to release it outside and she saw a leg hanging out of the brush!
I don’t like harming them or killing them, but I have no particular desire to get up close and personal either. This thing is bloody wonderful. And it catches other bugs too.

I am exactly the same.
