Hi,

Does anyone own a rollator? do you find it useful, can it run away from you. I have a habit of trying to walk fast.

I’m 5ft and seen one that I quite like and whilst the company offer demos you have to go to their storeroom so would be really grateful to hear from anyone with experience.

Just tried a walking frame and they picked up that I was maybe going to fast on my good leg. Usual habit was to walk fast.

I have one, and I cannot go out without it. It’s very handy

Ah thank you 💓 yes they do look it.

They try to tell me crutches are best acceptable but I didn’t feel safe on those last time with cervical myelopathy recovery and know a stick on it’s own is not going to cut it this time.

You would be able to go much faster on a rollator than a walking frame. If thats your issue I think it could make it worse. Its also not as stable if you really nees support

But I much prefer to use a rollator, i find the frame clunky and annoying.

I have one and love it, but I do agree with this. It also depends on whether you get a lightweight one or not.

I hire one when I go to long events such as festivals. My walking stick wint cut it.

I used one for the first time last year and I went from dreading the event to having a blast! The rollator literally changed the whole experience for the better.

Ah thank you, it is the endeavour II lightweight by Careco.
About a stone in heaviness, can handle my weight
going to try and go more slowly

Don’t half regret not trying one my uncle lent me last time with cm until he needed it back. It just sat at the end of my bed with me not wanting to engage with it.

Massive thanks all. Can’t begin to explain how nice it is to be out of bed and in a chair.

I’ve got the CareCo one that converts into a wheelchair. Bloody love it!

I have just bought a new one and it’s wonderful. This one has suspension and is smooth and very quiet.
My old one was a rattly bone shaker in comparison!
I have a days deluxe rollator which folds up similar to a small travel buggy
The Careco “ comet” is the same model.
Both have a seat and a small bag underneath
I’m 60 and have had one for ten years( Cerebral Palsy)
Couldn’t manage without it, neither would I enjoy life.

Carbon Ultralight ByAcre rollator.
expensive but can be used straight out of the box, Extremely lightweight so can put in car one-handed. one easy movement to fold and open.
Looks really smart.,

This sounds brilliant!

I have a Topro Troja. Weighs hardly anything, fits in a boot and can be carried with one hand. I can even lift it up into the bus.
