Yuck. But I remember having a t shirt that said “babe” on the front when I was 11.

ha I remember having one. I ended up being too shy to wear it on non uniform day 😒

Bitchesbelike · 09/05/2025 18:38

that’s one of my mums pet names for me (alongside wee pet lamb, lamb bamboo, hennypenny). I’m 45 btw

Complain. Completely inappropriate. Just because ‘others’ don’t have those boundaries, it doesn’t mean those us who do see the harm - shouldn’t remind companies of those boundaries.

Don’t some of you get tired from being outraged and offended at such petty, pathetic stuff?

It’s certainly exhausting listening to you whining.

canyouseemyhousefromhere · 09/05/2025 18:57

I call my kids honey bunny. Never thought of it as inappropriate.

However….
An aunt once bought me a pair of knickers with “let’s go pussy hunting ” on the front. I was 10 or 11. Neither I or my parents understood it. So what do I know? 🤷‍♀️

I think the logo on this tee shirt could easily be misconstrued and as such h is indeed inappropriate.

Ir just adds to the longstanding trend of the making children into little adults well beforen there time by taking on adult themes.

Let them keep their innocence please Mothers

YUK. VERY CREEPY AND NASTY.

YABU, don’t see the issue.

don't be ridiculous. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Your puritanical fun sponge views shouldn't get to decide to everyone else what is/isn't available to buy.

tuvamoodyson · 09/05/2025 19:18

That’s what I call my nieces children…😂

i know i'm exhausted listening to grown women trying to tell other people what they should/shouldn't eat, wear, watch, listen to...etc just because it's not their personal cup of tea.

don't like it, don't do it, simples. Stop trying to make your controlling, disapproving opinions the one everyone else has to abide by.

you smell of book bans.

Port1aCastis · 09/05/2025 19:35

That's what I call my dog, he doesn't mind though.

But it’s only ‘misconstrued’ by people who have a negative, twisted mindset.

So it says more about you really……

Trishthedish · 09/05/2025 20:44

Tesco’s children’s range, especially for girls is awful this summer. Very inappropriate.

pollymere · 09/05/2025 21:45

Honey Bunny is quite innocent and cutesy.

However both the term and the image have severe sexual connotations too 😂🤦‍♀️

JohnTheRevelator · 09/05/2025 22:10

It's not great but certainly not the worst I've ever seen.

Gettingbysomehow · 09/05/2025 22:16

My old cat's nickname was honey bunny. Honey because she was so sweet and bunny because she had really long ears.
But for a child it's a bit odd especially as honey means sex in America.

Atarin · 08/05/2025 21:26

Oh dear, I call my children ‘honey bunny’! I didn’t realise it was wrong!!

Same. DH calls youngest DD it all the time. So i'd buy it Confused

Anon501178 · 09/05/2025 22:35

Someone I know actually got this tshirt for her daughter (named Honey!) When I saw the pic I just thought it was a cute Easter tshirt....Honey Bunny is a term of endearment.
I do see what PP are saying about the playboy thing, but tbh think it's a tenuous link.
I don't think it's inappropriate just cute.If it was on a teenager or pre-teen then it might portray a different meaning I guess.

fataroundthemiddle · 10/05/2025 08:03

Like it?Buy it. Don’t like it? Don’t buy it.

I say “honey bunny” to my grandchildren.

JillAndJenTheFlowerpotMen · 10/05/2025 09:37

It’s only unreasonable because it’s a girls’ T-shirt featuring a prey animal. Boys clothes always go higher up the food chain (wolves, sharks, dinosaurs, bears, eagles).

But just don’t buy it if you don’t like it.

HuffleMyPuffle · 10/05/2025 10:01

There is a certain irony to posters complaining girls are sexualised too young whilst they also sexualise something completely normal....

zeibesaffron · 10/05/2025 10:37

It’s nothing like the playboy logo - or are we saying we can’t put bunny ears on anything now? Hunny Bunny can also be seen as a term of endearment- my Mum used to call me it as a child 😀

Am I missing something in terms of offensiveness?

@Bfmamma “Everybody be cool, this is a robbery!” 😅😅

“Any of you pricks move, and I’ll execute every motherf^cking one of ya…” cue music!

My first thought was the wonderful Tim Roth and his “honey bunny”.

And I wouldn’t buy the top, but then I never liked the ‘Daddy’s Little Devil’ or ‘cheeky monkey’ tops either. Yuck.
