To ask my friends to be bridesmaids via text?

will be asking my 4 friends to be bridesmaids but a few people live quite far away. One is in manchester, another leeds, another Preston. The soonest everyone can meet up is the beginning of august so I was planning on asking them then.

however over the last few weeks I have really wanted to discuss things with them and ask them questions etc. plus I’m excited! Would I be best just to wait another 3 months to do it in person or would it be ok to text them all in the group chat? I guess I’m just impatient

I messaged my own sister asking her to be BM. Just do what works for you! And congratulations!!!

Of course! Why not? Congratulations.

Call them instead.

I would call them rather than text, it's more personal and memorable to have an actual conversation!

MakingItRight · 08/05/2025 12:07

Don't call. Calling doesn't leave them wiggle room to say no. Text is fine

Can you do a group WhatsApp call? I think it's a lovely memory to do it by conversation

WaltzingWaters · 08/05/2025 12:08

Absolutely, a nice text or phone call is fine.

I'm assuming you don't see them often? In which case, of course via chat is fine.
