even garden furniture for the kids? Especially as they want to buy them horrible, branded stuff, you know, with Thomas and Dora all over it.

They know I loathe this kind of tat and are offended that I have said it's kind of them but we don't need the garden furniture, have limited storage space and we prefer to buy our own?

well its up to you I guess

your kids might like it though

lazarou · 19/05/2008 11:48

Fair enough. Don't know why they would be offended.

AMumInScotland · 19/05/2008 11:50

Seems fair enough of you to say no - people should always check before buying anything as a present that needs a lot of storage space

lollipopmother · 19/05/2008 11:52

Better to tell them before they buy it than let them spend money on something that will never see the light of day.

Yes, the kids might like it but then they might like to eat chocolate all day too. What they don't get won't hurt them. Plus poncey garden chairs for kids? When I were a lass, I sat on a towel!
