Late period and doubtful pregnancy test... opinions??

I am 4 days laye and this morning I decided to do a test with the first urine, the result is a very light line, visible against the light, I'll try to attach the picture.

In addition, I have had very light period paio for about 5 days, and 4 days before the expected period I had light brown spotting that lasted 2/3 days.

Has anyone had such a weak test despite the late period? I don't know if it's an evaporation line or what... help!!

It doesn’t look like a positive to me I’m afraid.
Also, you opened the test, they specifically say don’t open as it affects the drying and causes evaps.
That said, at 4 days late, you should have a very obvious line if pregnant, although if you’ve had a light 5 day period then are you really late?

I can see a very faint line but it could be an evaporation line because usually by the time your period is late, you will have a much darker line than that

I can clearly see 2 lines. My second pregnancy began like this, feint almost invisible 2nd line that got a bit darker each day. I used the cheap tests that tend to be more accurate. I tested a few days after missed period and could only detect a line because I'd been testing each month for a few years!

Also depends how much you drink, how dilute urine is etc, eg do you wake up and drink water in night?

Hi, thank you for your answer.. no I don't drink water in night. I hope i ovulated late. How many days after your missed period you got your BFP if i can ask?? Thank you

To me the line doesn’t look straight, like it’s where the dye hasn’t run across the test properly. Does that make sense? I would say this one is invalid. I’d also think it would be darker at this point. That being said, I didn’t get a positive until I was 15dpo, a day after my period was due. All completely negative before that.

I’d get another pink dye test. Good luck!

Actually, now I’ve looked again I’m not so sure. There is definitely a line though.
