Trying to watch a place in the sun - sex ads

What is wrong with Ch 4? Trying to watch a place in the sun with my 10 year old, but these stupid programmes about sex programmes - virgin houses and some other one I had to turn over - why do Ch4 advertise stuff like this at family TV time? Virgin island? I mean wtaf.

Totally agree! I don't think of myself as a prude but it was on in the docs waiting room while I was sat with my mum and we both thought it was a bit inappropriate.

Is this on catch up or live telly?

NannyOgg1341 · 06/05/2025 20:06

Live TV

That’s awful! I thought there was a whole watershed thing, but I’ve not watched live TV for a while

GetMeOutOfHere20 · 07/05/2025 06:58

This was on Live TV in the end I turned it over to BBC2 and explained to my daughter that the adverts were not appropriate for age. Really frustrating of Ch4

I totally agree, C4 is the worst for it with their awful TV programmes but I find it sometimes elsewhere......watching the 1% Club with my 12 year old and literally on the 2100 ad break, a bloody Lovehoney advert. Okay, I know that's strictly post watershed but seriously, this is getting ridiculous! I'm finding myself watching less and less live tv these days.

Ch4 is so bad for the sex programmes. It’s ok if it’s after 9pm but I don’t want to be policing the tv before then. Literally it’s only like 6pm on the odd day we are in the open plan and just while we are having tea/tidying up etc
