To ask whether you have ever returned somewhere you said you would never go back to?

Guess it could be anything or anywhere …

I’m asking as seriously considering returning to a place I said I would never want to live in again (nothing bad or weird about place) but am doubting my initial reaction.

For context this was somewhere I lived for 15 years and thought I’d “outgrown” but not too sure now.

Will it be the same if I return or do places change as much as people?

I'm in a place where I think people should only move forwards
